To clear any confusion... Albania Team

The majority of our Jamm Team is in Albania at the moment, there were two of us who, unfortunately, could not travel internationally with us, so they flew to Vancouver. So they will be posting their amazing Outreach adventure along with us!

To sumarize last week:
We all had a great time! We are still hanging out with high risk children daily, so as you can imagine, we're all getting burnt out over here! However, it has been a wonderful and fulfiling experience! We will finish up this week leading the camps, then spend an extra week here, probably to actually go and observe Albanian culture in the more rural villages. Last Saturday, we all took a trip to Macedonia (the border is literally 5 minutes away) and spent the day there, enjoying some much needed rest and swimming!

Howdy!

We all are having a blast here in Albania! For the past week and a half we have been hanging out with about 30 children who are at high risk for being trafficked. Apart from the language barrier, these kids have really impacted us! For about 4-5 hours a day we have Bible Study, arts and crafts, and a lot of soccer! We are constantly on the go, and by the end of the day we're completely exhausted! However, we're having a great time! We're safe, healthy, and eating our fruits and vegetables!

Richard & Heather and Ali, Mission Adventure Vancouver 2010

We arrived on 8th june to The best place on earth 'Vancouver' British Columbia, we were picked by the lovely staff of Mission Adventure (MA), YWAM. We have our own apartment, Me (Richard), Heather and Ali, and three other staff members Amanda, Chelsea and Kristin lives right next door. We are doing training and a lot of creative content designing which includes creative prayer vigils, intercessory prayers, set design, prayer stations, commitment service and passion play and a lot of other things. Pretty Awesome uh? Ali is painting a huge mural of cityscape of Vancouver, we will post more pics when its done. Program 1 which include almost 30 teenagers arrive Tuesday 21st, June. Ali and Chelsea is hosting this team means sleeping with the team in the Church with them, taking care of them all the time. Right now we are busy in decorating the set, theme of this year's mission adventure is FORWARD from Joshua and Philipians, where God told His people that be courageous and do not be terrified and move forward to the promise land. Our set design is based on crossing Jordan river to the promise land (Vancouver) for urban ministries.
Mission Adventure Vancouver 2010 is going to be a nice experience.

We're all safe!!!

Hey everyone!! We just flew from Toronto to Amsterdam to Kiev, Ukraine. We're going to stay here for the night in a really nice hostel, and tour the city tomorrow!! Then we fly from Kiev to Tirana, Albania!
We're all really tired from the trip, but extremely excited!

So it begins!!

Hello all! This blog has been created so that you can keep track of our progress as we go on the Outreach Phase part of our DTS!!

We leave on Monday, flying from Toronto to Albania, and we will arrive there Friday morning!

We will spend one month in Albania, helping out at an orphanage, then spend another month in the Ukraine.

That's the basic outline of our trip, the specifics will ensue shortly!!
